Chris Cimino is an American meteorologist who gained recognition for his work on the early-morning news program Today in New York, which aired on WNBC television in New York City, New York. He also served as a substitute meteorologist for the Today program on the NBC network.

Cimino joined WNBC in December 1995, following his previous role as the weekend meteorologist at WTXF-TV in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, starting from January 1995. Prior to that, he worked as a meteorologist in Cincinnati, Ohio, providing forecasts on both radio and television platforms for Compu-Weather and Metro Weather Service, as well as at WROC-TV in Rochester, New York. Additionally, on September 20, 2004, he worked for the New York Yankees baseball team.

Cimino's involvement with the New York Mets stemmed from a bet he made with his eleven-year-old neighbor, where the Mets needed to win at least seventy-five games. Unfortunately, the Mets were unable to meet that target, resulting in a playful prank on Cimino by his colleague, sportscaster Otis Livingston. This humorous incident concluded with Livingston dressed as the Mr. Met mascot and jokingly "beating up" Cimino.

Before joining NBC 4, Cimino served as the weekday weather anchor for the morning and noon newscasts on WLWT-TV, the NBC affiliate in Cincinnati, Ohio.

In honor of his departure, a gathering was organized on June 28th, 2019, at Faces and Names on 159 W. 54th Street, where colleagues and friends had the opportunity to bid farewell. During his tenure, Cimino had the opportunity to interview numerous celebrities, with one of the highlights being a one-on-one interview with singer Elton John, a moment he considered a dream come true.

Cimino's last day at WNBC was on July 2nd, 2019, and he was succeeded by Maria LaRosa, who started her work on July 29th, 2019.
