Barry Keoghan, an Irish Actor is a cast member for the Masters of the Air which is set to premiered on the 26th January 2024. He is popularly known for making appearances in movies/series/shows such as Calm with Horses (2019) and in the fantasy film The Green Knight (2021).

From 2017 to 2020, Keoghan was romantically involved with Shona Guerin, a native of Killarney. The couple first met on Good Friday in a Killarney pub where Shona was working. Their relationship was highlighted when they appeared together on the show "Livin' with Lucy" in 2019, where Lucy Kennedy stayed with them in their Los Angeles home.

In September 2021, Keoghan entered a relationship with Alyson Kierans, a dental nurse and orthodontic therapist, whose father hails from County Cavan. A few months later, on Ireland's Mother's Day, March 27, 2022, Keoghan shared the news that the couple was expecting their first child together. Their son's birth was announced on August 8, 2022. 

The family later moved to Broughty Ferry, Dundee, Scotland, in November 2022. However, in a 2024 interview, Barry Keoghan revealed that he and Alyson had separated in mid-2023. Additionally, in 2020, Keoghan was diagnosed with ADHD.

During his early years, Keoghan participated in school plays at the O'Connell School on Dublin's North Richmond Street. However, he was banned from further involvement due to disruptive behavior. Despite these challenges, Keoghan developed his interest in acting by sneaking into films with friends at Cineworld, Parnell Street, until he was eventually barred. After an early film role in "Between the Canals," Keoghan pursued formal acting training at The Factory, which is now known as Bow Street Academy, a local Dublin drama school. During this period, he faced financial difficulties, recalling times when he didn't have €2.20 for bus fare to The Factory.

Keoghan commenced his acting journey in 2011 by responding to a casting notice in a Sheriff Street shop window for the crime film "Between the Canals." In this film, he portrayed Aido in a small role. At the age of 18, he also had a role in the Irish soap opera "Fair City." Keoghan's career gained momentum as he appeared as Wayne in the television series "Love/Hate" in 2013. He continued to make notable contributions to Irish cinema with roles in films such as "'71" (2014), "Mammal" and "Trespass Against Us" (2016).

The year 2017 marked a significant breakthrough for Keoghan. He played George Mills in Christopher Nolan's war film "Dunkirk" and starred as Martin Lang in "The Killing of a Sacred Deer" alongside Colin Farrell and Nicole Kidman. His performance in the latter earned him the Irish Film and Television Award for Best Supporting Actor.

Keoghan continued to garner attention for his work in the following years. In 2018, he appeared in "Black '47" and "American Animals." The Hollywood Reporter described him as "the next big thing" in recognition of his film work. He joined the cast of the critically acclaimed mini-series "Chernobyl" in 2019 and was nominated for the BAFTA Rising Star Award. Keoghan's versatility was showcased in various projects, including the film "Calm With Horses" and the pilot episode of "Y: The Last Man."

In 2021, Keoghan entered the Marvel Cinematic Universe with his role as Druig in "Eternals." The following year, he played the Joker in Matt Reeves's film "The Batman," earning an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor and winning a BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his performance in "The Banshees of Inisherin."

In 2023, Keoghan continued to receive critical acclaim for his role in Emerald Fennell's psychological thriller "Saltburn," earning a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor. Beyond his acting career, Barry Keoghan became the ambassador for the Barretstown children's charity in March 2022, helping open the charity's new Aladina Studio funded by the Spanish Aladina Foundation.

Keoghan is set to star in an upcoming American war drama streaming television miniseries ''Masters of the Air'' taking the role of Lt. Curtis Biddick. Filming for "Masters of the Air" commenced in England in 2021, facing delays on multiple occasions due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Keoghan and his co-star Jacob Elordi developed a close bond during the filming of Emerald Fennell's production, "Saltburn." The two actors were observed being flirtatious during the Los Angeles premiere of the film. Keoghan confirmed in an interview with GQ that their closeness was genuine and not just for show.

Keoghan expressed, “I’m really flirtin’. We were constantly close. It ain’t just for the cameras and the premiere[s]. Me and Jacob—he’s like a brother to me, honestly. I think when you’re comfortable with someone, you can be as close as you want, you know what I mean? It’s not like, ‘Oh, don’t come near me’—it’s like, I’m comfortable. When I’m comfortable around people, I’m comfy.”

Keoghan starred in a 2021 American superhero film ''Eternals'' and took the leading role of Druig. Druig is depicted as an aloof Eternal who becomes frustrated with the inaction of the other Eternals in human affairs. One of his distinct abilities is the power to manipulate the minds of others. This adds a layer of complexity to his character, as he grapples with the decisions and actions of the Eternals within the storyline of the film.
